#NYFW Get The Look: Bold Lips (As Seen At The Thakoon Fall 2012 Show)
Glamazons, I know I’m always talking about the power of a bold lip and one look at the models backstage at the Thakoon Fall 2012 show proved that I’m totally right. The lead makeup artist, Diane Kendal for NARS Cosmetics, came up with the idea to pair the models’ fresh faces with these fuchsia pink lips.
“The collection is a romantic cliché of something old New York – Upper East Side in the 1980s..but with a quirky twist,” said designer Thakoon Panichgul about his Fall 2012 collection. “It’s reminiscent of the past but still feels modern.”
The barely-there makeup and popping lips definitely scream futuristic glam with an 80’s flair.
“Thakoon wanted to focus on the lip this season,” Diane said. “It’s a fuschia pink, which is not an obvious color for a bold lip. We wanted to play with color, and it ends up making the whole look so interesting.”
