#NYFW: Rebecca Taylor Fall 2012 – Rockstar Chic with Olivia Palermo and Zoe Kravitz

Of all the New York Fashion Week shows, I get super excited for Rebecca Taylor, because her chic separates and adorably feminine dresses are sooo the wardrobe I wish I had. Her latest collection was totally a dream come true for me because it injected typical Fall-weather materials and pieces with a moody, rockstar vibe, complimented by the rockstars sitting across from me in her front row: Zoe Kravitz and Olivia Palermo.

Don’t they look chic? The collection, even moreso.

Inspiration: “Our girl has a slightly darker heart,” Rebecca told Style.com to signify the moody elements and deep hues of the new collection. So downtown chic!

Key Pieces: The navy and black Fall basics were modernized with futuristic elements like digitized prints and imaginative twists on staple winter materials (hello, tweed peplum!). Glitter printed skirts, velvet fitted pants, kaleidoscope patterned dresses and fall sequins made for cold-weather essentials with plenty of attitude.

My favorite piece? A printed blue gown with black sheer cut-outs weaved into the skirt’s pleats. Can you even?

Who I Could See Rocking This Look: Not just because they were in the front row, but Olivia Palermo and Zoe Kravitz could kill Rebecca’s latest line! Sienna Miller’s name is all over this collection. Also – Whitney Port and LC could turn to these basics to give their wardrobe a bit of spunk but still keep their delightful, feminine flair intact.
