Is it me or is the first month of 2012 flying by? I hope everyone’s week is going fab! I know mine is. Yesterday, I had the honor of interviewing some of Hollywood’s biggest names for the film “Red Tails” which premieres in theaters January 20th (it’s a definite must see for all of my Glamazons who are into special effects and fine men lol!). Katy Perry Launching False Eyelashes Line

I really love Katy Perry‘s style and music and lately, she’s been going through a tough time with her split from Russell Brand. Sad face. Hopefully,  her upcoming beauty venture will save her some tears. The “One That Got Away” singer is partnering up with the British brand Eylure on a line of false eyelashes.

Katy’s lashes always look stunning so this line will serve nothing but greatness. We can expect lots of glitter and color from the collection, which will contain four eyelash sets. It will be available on Ulta.com here in the states next month. Werk it Ms. Perry! [Racked]

Kardashian Magazine Drama

This news really doesn’t surprise me because we all know that controversy follows this family everywhere. In fact, as we type, the internet is abuzz with rumors that Khloe Kardashian is actually not a Kardashian (Rob’s child). Poor girl. Well, before that drama surfaced, news spread that Kardashian’s idea to start a glossy print magazine was really the idea of the Canadian company Communiqis. Apparently, back in December, the company’s founder Brian Rushton Phillips pitched the idea to Kris Jenner because of her daughters’ huge Twitter presence and now it seems Kris is pursuing the idea without him. Hmm…smells a bit fishy but doesn’t stuff like this happen all the time? Note to self: copyright all my ideas. [Styleite]

Michelle Williams Lands Another Vogue Cover As Marilyn Monroe

Michelle Williams is WERQUE-ING her Marilyn Monroe-esque features on yet another cover of Vogue. Back in September, we reported on Michelle’s first cover channeling Ms. Monroe, and I sure am happy to see her doing it again. In fact, if she did a Marilyn shoot everyday, that’d be fine by me. Plus Size Models magazine is raising lots of eyebrows in its January issue. It features plus models surrounded by several facts and figures about models and size. The spread points out that runway models meet the criteria of being anorexic. Whoa! That’s kind of scary, but it’s sadly true. The magazine is just trying to point out that size matters in the industry from the biggest to the smallest. What’s your take? [Fashionista]

Louis Vuitton Nail Polish for $595, Would You Dish Out The Money?

I’m well aware that Louis Vuitton is a luxury brand when it comes to bags and shoes, but nail polish too? I mean it’s beyond extreme. The high end brand is selling nail polish for $595, they must not realize we are still coming out of a recession, sighs. V magazine knows how to start the year off with a bang. In its first ever music issue Mick Rock shot Solange, Cassie, JoJo, VV Brown and MNDR in a vibrant color themed photo sesh. The florescent spread features each girl rocking some fun makeup with pops of color. Can a first time around music issue look any better than this? [MTV Style]
