Worst of 2011: The Year in Offensive Ads

We have witnessed a lot of faux pas and “Girl, WHAT?” moments in campaign ads this year, bad enough to make your eyes pop out their sockets in disbelief.

The campaigns that raised the most controversy this year include Nivea’s “Look Like You Give a Damn” and “Re-civilize Yourself” campaign for condemning afros and natural hair, Marc Jacobs‘ “Oh, Lola” Fragrance campaign for its “sexually suggestive” pose and young spokesperson,  Chapticks “Where Do Lost Chapsticks Go” campaign for, well, the gratuitous butt shot and more recently, Donna Karan’s new campaign shot in Haiti which has been labeled culturally insensitive.
