GLAM SCOOP: RIP Evelyn Lauder, Dakota and Elle Fanning Cover W Magazine, Snooki for HSN & More

Good Morning, Glamazons!

It’s a new day and the beginning of a new work week. Can you believe that Thanksgiving is like almost a week away?! 2011 flew by before my eyes.

I hope everyone had a great weekend, I know I did partying it up with the girls.

Anywho, I have your daily dosage of fashion and beauty news. Let’s get to it!

Evelyn Lauder Passes Away at Age 75

In rather sad news, Evelyn H. Lauder (pictured above with Gwyneth Paltrow and Liz Hurley), died at age 75 in Manhattan on Saturday. She was an executive at Estee Lauder, but is most remembered for her priceless contribution to the fight against breast cancer.

She is credited with creating the pink ribbon, now a universal sign for breast cancer awareness.  She founded The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in 1993, an organization that has raised more than $350 million for research.

The cause of death is being reported as ovarian cancer. Our hearts are so full with grief, but we thank her for a life of service and compassion. May she rest in peace. [WWD]

Dakota and Elle Fanning Cover W Magazine

Could two sisters be any more beautiful? Dakota and Elle Fanning grace the cover of W Magazine’s December issue. They both look pretty glamazing and have me wishing I had a sister to cover a magazine issue with, lol.

What do you think of their sisterly cover? Are you loving it like I am? [Racked]

Snooki on HSN

A couple of weeks ago we reported on Snooki’s HSN line with pics; well the collection finally debuted on HSN – and you’ve just got to see the little snippet of the Jersey girl above.

She is her usual bubbly self as she showcases the products from her line and of course, talking about how much she loves the club. Check it out. [The Cut Blog]

Tamara Mellon Resigns from Jimmy Choo

I was so sad to learn that Jimmy Choo Co-Founder Tamara Mellon OBE resigned. It’s especially shocking to me because I just saw her back in September at THE BODY SHOP Stop Sex Trafficking Exhibition.

The resignation comes after CEO Joshua Shulman resigned. Interesting. Well, farewell to Tamara. What are your predictions for who will take her spot? [Fashionably Just]

Oscar de la Renta & Andre Leon Talley Partner For New Exhibit

Andre Leon Talley and Oscar de la Renta have teamed up next month for the Queen Sofía Spanish Institute’s newest exhibition, Joaquín Sorolla and the Glory of Spanish Dress. The exhibit will explore and celebrate Spanish clothing for women and men.

If you’re in love with fashion and de la Renta’s designs, then you don’t want to miss this exhibit at 684 Park Avenue in New York City. It opens December 8th and closes March 10, 2012. [Fashionista]

Until Tomorrow,
