6 Fashion Trends That Need To End Quick and In A Hurry

Glamazons, I love me some trends. Heck, I’ve made it my business following them but everything isn’t for everybody– or anybody as far as these trends are concerned. And the time has come for us to put them to rest. So help me spread the word that the following trends need to be hit with the cease and desist. Each one, teach one, right Glamazons?

Leggings As Pants

I keep hoping that this trend will end, and it hasn’t. Even if squats have your behind sitting up Amber Rose’s, it needs to be covered with your top. If not, it looks like you are essentially wearing hose and forgot your skirt. And think how embarrassed the people behind your are. It’s just never a good look.

Uggs

Now before you start in on me talking about, I just need to try a pair on and I’ll be converted by their warmth and comfort, know that I own a pair. I went to college in State College, PA where the degrees would be in the negatives for days at a time and received them as a Christmas present. This does not change my stance. They need to go. I don’t wear mine– out the house. They make for nice slippers, lol.

Jeffrey Campbell Litas

I will admit the first time I saw these shoes, I thought they were fun and add easy way to add a 70s touch to an outfit. But then, I kept seeing them. On girls in the street, my favorite blogs, my favorite bloggers. Do you really want to wear something that everyone and their BFF owns?

Huge Earrings a la Basketball Girlfriends Wives

I am all for statement jewelry but the women on Basketball Wives have taken statement earrings to whole ‘nother level. Their jewelry is so loud, it’s distracting. For example, when Gloria and co kicked cray cray Jackie Christy off the island, she was wearing earrings that looked like paper mache weaved like a basket– and I couldn’t focus. A simple stud will never fail you.

Black Eyeglass Frames… Minus the Lenses

Just like the Litas, the first couple of times I saw this, I thought it was a cute way to have fun with your look. Why not, right? Well, it has become predictable. That and I always get the urge to poke my finger when the lense should be. A mess, I know.

The Following Words: As a writer, my thesaurus and I spend a lot of time together. Sometimes I get tired of writing the same words. Actually reading them too. Specifically ‘tastemaker.’ I’m not sure why but this word is everywhere and everyone is one all of a sudden. Same with exclusive. And fashionista. I get it, everyone wants to be special but let’s not use those words.

C’mon Glamazons, I can’t be the only one who noticed these trends need to go. Do you agree? Did I leave anything out?

Stay Stylish,

Glamazon Channing

I have BEEN over the Lita's. I agree with the statement. My thoughts are you can not make a statement in the shoes everyone else is making a statement in.
