#LFW: Beyonce Launches House of Dereon at Selfridges [Pics]
The line looked refreshingly fashion-forward with a tribal motif that materialized in both the clothing and makeup.
Models sauntered down the runway in dark blue lips, a trend we’ve previously seen at Richard Chai during New York Fashion Week – paired with long straight hair with a side part, a short haircut or a curly afro. The lips were complemented by dark angled brows and a gold shimmery line down the models’ faces and chests that mirrored tribal paint.
Here’s the tea on the collection:
Inspiration: Like the makeup, the collection carried a tribal theme with printed shorts and jumpsuits, bold feather necklaces and snakeskin patterns throughout.
Key Pieces: A refined mix of tribal and snakeskin printed separates paired stylishly together, sequined high-waisted pants worn with oversized jewels, bandage dresses that call to mind Herve Leger and black floor-length skirts with slits styled with feather necklaces, black sheer party-ready frocks, gold sequin miniskirts.
Who I Could See Wearing The Collection: The line, which was surprisingly chic, could find fans in young, trendy starlets like Whitney Port, Solange Knowles and Alexandra Burke, who sat front row.
