Handle Your Scandal: Missoni for Target Online Orders Gone Wrong

In the neverending saga of Missoni for Target, the franchise has canceled or threatened to cancel hundreds of online orders — this is after the website crashed on the day of the collection launch.

There are tons of horror stories of Target emailing customers that had already paid for their orders asking them to log on to Target.com and approve shipping delays. The problem began when people were unable to access their Target accounts to approve those delays — even using several different browsers.

Since the shipping delays went “unapproved” as a result, Target canceled or threatened to cancel those orders. What a mess!

One story via Racked.com made our jaws drop. Read on:

I ordered nine pieces: three were for my nieces, one was for my stepfather, five were for me. Following the order I got nine emails from Target. Three items were delayed til September 29th. Fine. I okayed them. Then three were delayed til October 26th. Fine, I okayed them. Then one that was delayed til september 29th was now delayed til October 26th. Fine. Then another email: the remaining three pieces were delayed til mid October. Sigh. Again fine. Then I got email confirmations for each change. Then I got an email saying there was an error with my order and 5 items were canceled. I could click through and resubmit the order… umm no I can’t. I called them. I was on hold for 40 minutes. I spoke to someone in India that told me sorry, your items were sold to someone else, there’s nothing we can do about it. I said go ahead and just cancel everything. I was told that couldn’t be done, because I had agreed to purchase the items and couldn’t cancel… What the hell?! You can cancel, but i can’t?! She said the items were shipping soon and couldn’t be modified. LAUGHING! Really? Now they’re being shipped soon? Delivery date is expected in October, but REALLY, they’re prepped for shipping?! Why the hell do I want half an outfit? Why would I give my two-year old niece half an outfit? Why do I want a hair accessory to match a dress you canceled?! The service is heinous. The absolute worst I’ve ever experienced. I will NEVER shop at Target again. Oh, and my card WAS charged $678 for the clothes. I’ve already called my credit card company and told them I’d be reversing the charges. Apparently, I’m not the 1st.

Target is going to be slapped with hundreds of lawsuits if they don’t get their act together. Who knew Missoni for Target would cause such a Missoni mess?

Are any of you Glamazons out there a victim of an awful Missoni for Target mishap? What a shame.

Toodles Luvs,

Glamazon Krystal
