A Day in The Life: Fashion’s Night Out 2011 Blogger Crawl – Us, Solange and DVF!

Glamazons!

I had the time of my life last night at Fashion’s Night Out! I hit the town with glamaze blogger Love Brown Sugar and fun folks who came out for our blogger crawl including Blake Von D, Kailee in the City and Ashley B. Harrington of BET.

Love Christina and Blake von D! They’re the best!

I wore a BCBGMaxAzria ruched dress with a funky neckline, a cobalt blue H&M blazer, Julian Louie f0r Aldo wedges and wore MAC Ruby Woo on my lips. Here’s a super blurry pic but you get the idea.

For our first stop, we hit up Diane von Furstenberg flagship store where the designer made a cameo and was as gorgeous and radiant as you can imagine.

She gave us a whiff of her new fragrance, Diane, which I love and posed for some pics with fans. We had fun toasting mixed drinks, dancing to the DJ, munching on these delish hors d’ouerves and posing in a fun photo booth! Good times.

Next, we headed over to Edris salon owned by one of my sheroes, Edris Nichols. For Fashion’s Night Out, Edris treated us to drinks by Nuvo, delish cupcakes, a new copy of the Fall issue of Jones Magazine (a must get, love the fashion in it!) and there was a makeup artist on the premises.

Yum!

I was so happy to run into my fave blogger buddies Renae Bluitt of In Her Shoes Blog and Bernie of COCOACHiC at the event; they looked beautiful and we’re all having a ball.

After we partied at Edris salon to our heart’s content, we traveled uptown to see Solange Knowles DJ at Lord & Taylor. Lucky us our good friend Charles Wade is her uber-talented stylist and he whisked us behind the DJ booth to get pics and chat it up with Ms. Knowles.

She is so sweet, down-to-earth and fun and looked fabulous in a cobalt blue halter dress and silver full-finger rings! Plus love her ‘fro, of course. *wink*

She played all the hits from Lil Kim’s “Crush On You” to Jennifer Lopez’s “Get Right.” Yes, we danced our hearts out.

So cute! We also jumped in the Conde Nast photo booth for some silly pics!

Finally, we trekked in heels over to Missoni for Target’s pop-up shop but made a detour once we noticed the line was down the block! Crazy! Not to worry though because I will be going back (nothing will get in the way of me and Missoni!) and will give you guys the scoop on what I purchase.

All in all, it was one of the best nights I’ve had in the city in forever and restored my love for Fashion’s Night Out (remember last year when Kanye West was mobbed? This was considerably less chaotic…which I love).

What’d you do for Fashion’s Night Out?

Kisses,

Glamazon Jessica
