GLAM SCOOP: Victoria Beckham’s Fashion Week Flats? Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Gown Sketches & More

How is everyone? I hope calm after the earthquake that rocked the East Coast yesterday—which is nothing compared to the shakeup Fashion Week is going to bring. Anywho, since I made it out safely, I’m here to give you an update on the latest fashion and beauty scoop. Let’s go!

Victoria Beckham Ordered to Wear…Gasp…Flats!

Check out the pumps Victoria Beckham is wearing above while she was pregnant. Well it doesn’t look like Beckham will be rocking anything like it anytime soon. It was reported that she has a slipped disc in her spine and that she can’t wear heels for some time.

Looks like we will be seeing her in a pair of these for Fashion Week!

 

The horror! Do you remember when Glamazon Jessica stumbled around in high heels with a sprained ankle during New York Fashion Week? Flats are like totes unheard of. Poor Victoria.

 

Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Dress Sketches

If the sketches for Kim Kardashian’s three Vera Wang dresses are this stunning, I know she must have looked breathtaking in person. The first is what Vera Wang calls “Cinderella with a very sexy body,” which is the one Kim walked down the aisle in for the wedding ceremony.

For the couples’ first dance, Kim changed into the second gown which was a Georgette mermaid dress with with Chantilly lace motifs and organza sprig embroidery on the skirt. Such intricate detail! I love it!

The last dress was the simplest and fit for the reception party. It is an all crepe-back satin gown with a v-neck and circle skirt. I’m sure it was comfortable for her to move around in and enjoy herself. All 3 dresses are absolutely Gorge! Can’t wait to see more photos!

Scarlett Johansson in Dolce & Gabbana’s Secret Eyes Ad

Scarlett Johansson looks tres chic as the face of Dolce & Gabbana “Secret Eyes” mascara. I mean, she is really beautiful. The inspiration for the makeup collection, “the woman who surrounds herself with luxury and glamour,” definitely coincides with this regal, beautiful ad. The simplicity of her makeup and that luxurious lace go hand-in-hand. This ad will definitely stand out in magazines.

Are Blow-dry Bars the New Thing?

There are so many times when women just want to get their hair straight instead of going through the hassle of getting an elaborate style done. Now the latest beauty trend popping up is blow-dry bars. You can go in and simply get your hair blown out quickly with no washing, cutting, or coloring.

The salon charges a flat rate between $30-$40 and you can get your hair blown out and sip on one of the drinks that they serve during the process. Sounds pretty good to me!

OPI for Muppets

Anything can inspire nail polish lacquers and this time around for OPI, The Muppets are their muse! The upcoming release of the Disney film in November inspired OPI to create 12 limited edition nail lacquers for Holiday 2011.

Suzie Weiss-Fischmann, OPI’s Executive VP and Artistic Director, stated:

“OPI is so excited to work with Disney to celebrate this long-awaited movie release.Not only do The Muppets characters inspire fun, bright, and joyful colors, the fashionable Miss Piggy lends her name to three high-shine pink-based hues, ranging from bold red-flecked with silver to a multi-dimensional strawberry shade.”

The collection will be available at wide range of retailers for $8.50. I can’t wait to try one of these cutely named lacquers on my nails! Love the Muppets (and particularly Miss Piggy!).
