A Day in The Life: Sean John’s Empress Launch with Kelly Rowland in The Hamptons [Video]

Glamazons!

What a day I’ve had! So Diddy & Co. whisked a fun group of bloggers including yours truly out to The Hamptons for the launch of his new Womens Fragrance, Empress. And guess what? His spokesperson, the beautiful Kelly Rowland, was there to give us the scoop on the new fragrance. How cool is that?

I met her before when I worked at The Magazine (above) but it was awesome to see her again after she’s come into her own with the Here I Am album, a new beauty campaign with Empress and a self-assured, sexy image!

But let’s start at the beginning. First, we met up at Bad Boy in midtown Manhattan to get on the party bus to the Hamptons. And party bus it was! As soon as we got inside, we were treated to some Bad Boy tunes (All About The Benjamins, anyone?) and mimosas! YASS!

Here’s me with Christina Brown of Love Brown Sugar and the EIC of Juicy Magazine, Paula, having a blast!

When we arrived, we experienced the easy, breezy Hamptons culture at its best at the adorable Ciroc Cabana Club.

We mingled and sipped the Empress cocktail (with Ciroc Red Berry) served by handsome bartenders (yum!).

I took some glamour shots at the step and repeat of course. Werk! I wore a baby blue ruffle one-shoulder dress from Forever 21 and my gold Christian Louboutin sandals I blogged about here.

I made sure to chop it up with some of my fave bloggers like Claire of The Fashion Bomb, India of Glam.com, “Glambr” of Beauty Blogging Junkie, Kishana of Tres Chic Style and more.

Here’s me with Claire and Paula of Juicy Magazine.

Soon after, I hit the pool with Christina of Love Brown Sugar and the one and only Micah Jesse! He’s a riot.

We got a whiff of Empress from Whitney Cunningham (you may recognize her from America’s Next Top Model) and she exclaimed, “the scent is even better in real life!”

She was right. Besides the sensual and alluring appeal of the fragrance, it had enough musk to give it an irresistible masculine touch. I’m all about scents that could moonlight as “unisex” so I couldn’t stop smelling the fragrance! LOVE!

As if the day couldn’t get any better, the Empress team announced Kelly Rowland was in the building!

The Motivation singer chatted with us about the fragrance, which she says embodies female empowerment, and the meaning of her new album. She said it signals her blossoming into a sexier, bolder, more confident woman and recognizing her worth as an individual artist.

LOVE Kelly! She also gave us a preview of her new LP, Here I Am which of course, I already own. I mean, All of the Night was totes a staple in my iTunes playlist circa a week ago!

As the event came to a close, we scored t-shirts (mine reads “The Most Powerful Thing About Him is ME!”) and of course, a bottle of the fragrance.

And the party didn’t end there. On the bus ride home, Micah Jesse gave us our own private concert with his rendition of ‘Motivation.’ He’s the best!

Excuse the picture quality (et al). I was on my blackberry—and dancing. LOL!

All in all, it was one of the best Wednesdays I’ve had in…forever!

Will you pick up Empress which debuts this month in Macys? Get retail info here. And what do you think of Kelly’s album? Let’s discuss.
