\

Independence Day is the perfect name to describe what your beauty mantra should be this 4th of July weekend. Show that you embrace Americana beauty with a little red, white and blue glam that you can apply no matter what your plans are! Whether you’re sharing laughs at a barbecue, being wine and dined by your beaux or enjoying the glitz of fireworks, these hair and amakeup looks will help you steal the show, while showing your patriotism.

4th of July Party/BBQ

Flirty hair is a great for outdoor party look. A sleek, high ponytail is an easy-to-accomplish, versatile look that’s perfect for time spent soaking up some sun and enjoying laughs with loved ones over food and drinks because it’ll keep you cool in this steamy July heat, and it easily transitions as a sleek, sophisticated look for a night on the town. You get beauty and convenience all in one, why wouldn’t you try it?! Here’s how you can get the look:

-You can sweep all of your hair back into the ponytail, or add a little flair with a bang.

-Pull hair up to the highest desired part of the crown of your head and secure it with a hair tie. If you decide to leave a bang out, part hair and separate the bang from the rest of the hair and smooth the ponytail from there.

-Take a ½ inch section of hair and wrap it around the outside of the  hair ties. Secure it with a bobby pin.

Date Night

Tip 1: Go Bold

Plump up your pout with  a sultry Bordeaux or  crimson lipstick, topped with gloss.

-Apply a lip liner and blend the color toward the middle of your mouth on both the top and bottom lips.

-Take your sexy red lipstick and evenly  apply it toward the middle of your lips. Rub your lips together to ensure equal coverage.

-Take a clear lipgloss and over the lip color using a lip stick brush.

Tip 2: Enhance Your Natural Glow

Bronzer can be your best friend to get him to look twice at your shimmering face.

-Dust your T-zone and cheek bones.

– Swipe the warm shade over your eyelids for an all-over natural glow, and eyeliner to top lash lines and finish with mascara.

Tip 3: Be Extra Femme

-Flowing, body-filled hair is sexy and it screams “I’m ready to party, but I will look like a superstar while I do it!”

– Part hair into 1.5-inch sections and using a 1- 1 ½-inch curling iron, wrap curls around the barrel of a curling iron. Allow the curl to sit and move on to the next section.

– Once you’re done adding curls, flip your head upside down and finger-comb the hair. If it’s too full of body for your taste, use a paddle brush to tame the tresses.

-Finish with a holding spray, and prepare to make him drool!

Fireworks

Keep makeup fresh and at a minimum. If you really want to experience the beauty of the colors and sparks, you’ll probably be in a crowded, humid are like a park. That’s why creating a sweat-proof look is key. (It’s just not cute to have runny makeup!)  So, while you keep your face natural and fresh-looking play around with bold, tri-colored American-flag inspired eyes.

–          On clean skin apply a tinted moisturizer or light, SPF-enhanced foundation. Allow the product to dry for a couple of minutes to decrease the chances of it running before you reach your destination.

–          Next, add an eye shadow primer or paint pot color to eyelids. Allow to dry.  Corner

–          Next, you will apply eyeshadow to the eyelid in three sections. Using an eyeshadow brush, apply white (or silver shadow to the inner corner of the eyelid and blend it toward the middle.

–          Next, add your red eyeshadow to the center of the lid. Be sure to blend the color with the white shadow, to avoid harsh lines. (Remember, the brighter the shade of red that you use, the more electric the look will come out, so for a more subtle look you might want to use matte shades and for a little extra oomph try metallic shades.)

–          On the outer corner, apply a blue eyeshadow color. Take this shade out to your outer-v and blend. Depending on the amount of definition you want, dab a very small amount of  a charcoal-colored eye  shadow to the edge of the outer corner of the eye.

–          Add black eyeliner to top and bottom lashes and finish with two coats of your favorite mascara.
