Glamazon Guide: What To Wear To A Baby Shower (For Mother-To-Be AND Guests!)

Ah, what to wear to celebrate the news of a bundle of joy! Though I am not the most kid-friendly of women, I can appreciate getting dressed up and helping a friend welcome her new addition to the family.

When choosing an outfit for this occasion, it is important to consider the location of the shower. A baby shower at a hotel or restaurant won’t require the same dress code as one that is in someone’s backyard or living room. But no matter the occasion, you want to make sure that you are comfortable enough to be able to participate in the super fun games (don’t you love those!).

For a dressier shower, I would say it’s always safer to err on the side of over-dressed than under. Think of something that you would wear to a wedding reception or church. Conservative but still festive: a shift dress or a pretty blouse either with a pencil skirt or dressy pants.

Be tasteful and stylish with these safe CASUAL choices:

Oh, and speaking of the mother-to-be, a baby shower is your day to shine! Wear bright colors, fun prints, a crazy hat. Something that draws– and keeps– the attention on you and your baby bump. And you’ll be sitting down the whole time so why not throw on a pair of heels (if you dare)?
