Eyeshadow Obsession Of The Moment (PLUS A Look At The Fall 2011 Chanel Collection!)

The next best thing to receiving a really nice manicure/pedicure? Getting brand new products from Chanel, of course! There’s really no need for me to tell you all once again about how much I loooove Chanel anything, so I’ll just go ahead and delve right into the topic at hand: the new Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadows, of course!

Until receiving these for testing, my fave gel type eyeshadows were always MakeUpForever’s TKTK. Now, that’s not to say that I don’t still really like it, it’s just that I really love the texture in these little pots much better! Have a look:

The one on the left is called EBLOUI (a red brown) and the other on the right is called EPATANT (a light khaki green). Each formula in the pot contains a silicone gel formula, which is basically a mix of silicone and a patented Silicone Elastomer Gel. This gives it kind of a squishy texture, but when you rub your finger into it, it glides easily onto your skin. Below is how it looks on:

The top shade is EPATANT and the bottom is EBLOUI. As you can see, it has sort of a shimmery finish to it. While you can use a brush to apply, I’ve found that it’s actually easier to just rely on your fingers to get the job done. Also, the more you apply the deeper the shade you can create AND it (when paired with the right brush) you can also use this as an eyeliner. The ILLUSION D’OMBRE Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow is available in six shades ranging from intense black to delicate peach and retails for $36 each. I’ve also been playing around with this eyeshadow quad called Prelude:

This quad (which retails for $57) is a great way to create a smokey eye! I like to use the bottom right hand shade (Plum Charcoal) and then layer with the Illusion D’Ombre to create a shimmery sheen.

OH and you know I was over the moon to receive one of the lip glosses from the collection called Braise (a reddish brown; pictured above in the first photo; retails for $28.50). It’s a super glossy gloss with just the right hint of sheer red. LOVE. There’s also tons of other products in this collection (including nail polish!) which I also can’t wait to get my hands on. But, for right now, I’ll settle for these amazingly cool eyeshadows. The entire Chanel Fall 2011 collection is now available for purchase so you can totally get your hands on this stuff, too.

And, most importantly, what do you think of these new eyeshadows Glamazons?!

xoxo
