Beyonce’s made me really happy today!! LOL. Loving “Party” which just leaked from her new album 4 AND the new photos that also leaked from her covershoot with Essence Magazine. Why you ask? Because she’s giving me something different!

The song brings back a laidback 90s style vibe that just calls for a houseparty or a bbq in the backyard: a laidback beat, beautiful harmonies and that perfect guest feature in Andre 3000 (Kanye’s “swag-u” reference annoys so I’m going to leave that part out). Her spread with Essence Magazine is just as refreshing. She writes the cover story about “The Year That Changed My Life” entitled “Eat, Play, Love” and narrating the year she took just enjoying life’s simple pleasures. The accompanying photo shoot captures her Texas roots in a way we’ve never seen by featuring the beauty “home on the ranch.”

Channeling the rodeo and tearing up a home-cooked meal (complete with ice tea), Bey is a veritable Southern belle. And she still manages to rock the latest fashions in a Michael Kors cut-out white swimsuit and an Emilio Pucci black tie-up caftan.

She looks right at home! Love it!
