GLAM OR SHAM?: Rihanna’s Salute To Fleet Week Look

Um, this post is borderline “Call The Glambulance” material upon first look. The striped crop top, hot pants and fish nets combo looks kind of crazy upon first glance. The hair also doesn’t help. However, after you keep staring at Rihanna in this outfit and then you see the second photo of her donning the sailor hat to pay homage to Fleet Week, it kind of grows on you as something cute. (Side note: For those of you that don’t know, Fleet Week is currently happening here in NY and it involves a bunch of sailors walking around in uniforms and women throwing themselves in drunken squalor at their feet..and other places of their bodies.)

I like the gold-chained belt and matching chunky gold accessories! It’s all kind of cute, right? Or am I crazy?! But, what say you Glamazons: do you think this look is GLAM or a SHAM?

    I wasn't sure about this outfit either. I got the whole nautical/fleet week look she was going for, and since the crowd was full of sailors it kind of made it cute. Kind of reminded me of the salute the troops concerts they do for the deployed troops you know?
