Glamazon Guide: What To Wear To A Blogger Event Featuring Some of Our Favorite Bloggers

It seems like once a week I get an invite to a blogger event, and every time, I’m like oh, no, what can I wear?! Here’s the thing. Blogger events are usually like networking events but less stuffy and the crowd’s better dressed. I usually like to err on the side of overdressed than underdressed. So for me that means no jeans and pumps are a must. So what’s a glamazon to wear? Let’s look to some of our favorite bloggers to show us how it’s done.

Wear Something Femme

As Glamazons Jessica and Andrea know, pretty girls rock dresses. I’m biased though, I think everyone looks good in a (proper fitting) dress or skirt. Plus how glamazing does The Fashion Bomb’s Claire look? It might just be the old woman in me, but getting dressed up usually involves either or dress or a skirt, like Christina Brown of LoveBrownSugar is wearing with amazing accessories.

Try Something Funky

Who else would appreciate your turban tying skills or daring tutu but fashion bloggers? Perhaps you have something hanging in your closet that you’ve been itching to wear but feel like it’s just too much for everyday life? Break out the lacy sheer tops a la Lowe Factor’s Jared Michael Lowe and our own Glamazon Jessica. How about Prada’s banana shirt that Bryanboy is wearing? Super cute right?

Let Your Accessories Be Convo Starters

Wear bold accessories! A statement necklace, glossy nails, or a pair of ovah shoes– let your add on’s break the ice for you. Makes me think of Renae Bluitt of In Her Shoes Blog and Blake Von D! Every time we see them, they have on a mean pump, amazing bag, necklace and glossy manicure.

Just Be Yourself

Do you have a ‘look’ that you stick to? You’ll be able to make a good impression if you feel like yourself. No one provides a better example that this than A Belle in Brooklyn’s Demetria Lucas. She is always in a dress (usually) and it’s a part of her brand. Do you have a brand you wish to present yourself as? Dress the part. Oh, and it goes without saying that you should be confident in your style, like Gabi Gregg of Young, Fat & Fabulous– she just oozes confidence (in a good way!).

Glamazons, hopefully I’ll see you out and about at a blogger event looking glamazing! Don’t forget to strike a cute pose for the photographers!

xoxo,

Glamazon Channing
