When longer hemlines first re-emerged as a trend, I know I wasn’t the only one who had some reservations; afterall, how can an ankle-grazing dress give the sex appeal of a mini? Eva Mendes proves that long hemlines can be even hotter. (And yes, I’m aware that she can even make a burlap sack sexy).
Eva stepped out at the premiere of “Last Night” at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival in Gucci Fall 2011′s red long-sleeved, floor-sweeping 70s style gown, red lips and soft wavy hair. Wowza.
The color is vivid and sensual while the waist tie creates a beautiful, feminine silhouette. The hemline actually works in her favor elongating her frame!
Plus the sheer detail and the flowing chiffon hug her curves ever so subtly; it gives the hint of a hot bod underneath instead of shoving it in everyone’s face a la the ubiquitous leotards and booty shorts.
