GLAM OR SHAM?: Erykah Badu’s Blonde Mohawk

Erykah Badu is my hero. Seriously. From Window Seat to her classic breakout single ‘On & On’ which I still play, she’s some kind of amazing. (P.S. The entire album, New Amerykah Part II: Return of the Ankh is incredible. I play it all the time!)

What’s most intriguing about her though is her free-spirited approach to beauty and fashion. Sweatpants, an afro and bold baubles? An African-print dress and sneakers? No combination is too funky or eclectic for Ms. Badu.

I had the great fortune of attending her concert at the Roseland Ballroom where she debuted a head-turning beauty look: blonde hair, which she has now turned into mohawk.

I’m pretty much a fan of anything Erykah does; and I think the blonde looks beeeautiful against her skin. What say you, Glamazons?
