GLAM OR SHAM?: First Lady Michelle Obama Goes Curly for the White House State Dinner

First Lady Michelle Obama wows us whether in a Naeem Khan gold dress or Jason Wu white gown. Her look is always regal, stunning and flawless.

One element of style that hasn’t changed much, however, is Michelle’s hair; though perennially polished and shiny, thanks to hairstylist Johnny Wright, Michelle doesn’t stray far from a straight, shoulder-length bob or updo…until last night.

For the White House Dinner, the First Lady rocked an elegant yet soft curly updo. The curls were a perfect complement to her gorgeous Peter Soronen one-shoulder metallic blue gown. Michelle Obama even wore shimmery blue shadow on her eyelids to compliment the dress. Very fresh and fun, yet still sophisticated.
